Bring on the Spring

It’s March 1st and the anticipation for the arrival of Spring is in the air. There are no bunnies hopping or daffodils growing just yet though, as we’re back to having snow and lots of it. Again!

Here’s a pic that my daughter took as I drove her to school this morning.

The Winter season has dragged on and the hope of Spring seems a long way off. It can be likened to our spiritual life as we wait to step into a season of ‘new life’ and ‘growth’. The challenging trials may appear never ending but hope is on it’s way and God’s promises for His children are unfailing.

God’s word tells us that there is a time for everything and that He makes all things beautiful and appropriate in its time. (Ecclesiastes 3:1 & 3:11) God’s timing is perfect.

Here is a poem I wrote about God’s perfect timing:

Blink of an eye

Time is nothing more than a blink of an eye to The Lord, in Him our hopes and dreams for the future are safely stored.

Our own plans in comparison, feeble they will be, but Gods chosen pathway holds a perfect destiny.

God plants a seed, small at first, when we’re willing to open our heart, as we trust and the mystery unfolds we see His plan begin to start.

At times it is unexpected and takes us by surprise, we may even try to fight God’s plan and shun it off as lies.

But living in the spirit you can’t argue with God’s voice, it is clear and concise when He speaks to us and we don’t have a choice.

We obey His commands of love for us as His way is always best, through life’s trials and tribulations His love has passed the test.

His faithfulness and love have never let us down, through times of sadness and of joy God’s beauty can still be found.

Remember – God’s timing is never too early and never too late. It takes patience and faith but it’s worth the wait.

      1. It must be bad if they cancelled your shopping! Yes, going to keep them at home I think. The youngest isn’t so bad as she goes to school in the village but the eldest is miles away!
Hope you manage to get your shopping in 😊❤️

  1. Thank you dear friend,

God’s timing is, can be, only Perfect.

Here’s a short reflection on a new show:
Don’t think of it as cold and indifferent; but as the whiteness; the pureness of innocence; of love perfected, and of Hope unlimited.

We are to STRIVE for the “better things”

    I love the new show {until I have to get out into it}

May God continue to guide our paths,

  2. Thank God for seasons right? I’m so pumped that summer finished this week here in Oz, looking forward to winter!

  3. What a lovely poem!!! 🙂 It’s the same here. This morning started with a cold rain, and by afternoon turned to big flakey snowfall. Then later toward evening back to cold rain.

Stay safe 🙂 spring will come!

      1. That’s good news for you, T.R.
It’s just getting worse here and my daughter is supposed to be having an ice skating party tomorrow for her birthday last week. Not sure if we’ll make it to the rink. 😬❤️

    1. I know, there has been an awful lot of snow just lately. I’m hoping we’ve seen the back of it now though as it’s starting to get a bit milder. I know you don’t have this problem haha! I’m jealous lol 😂❤️
