12th January 2018 The week in review

Another exciting week, living and breathing a God-filled life! Yes, we still have trials and tribulations but with God, we can overcome any obstacle through His power and love at work in us.

Here’s a lowdown of the week:

Monday Must-have

We started the week by ‘Counting it all joy’, recognising that the trials we face are necessary for us to develop spiritual maturity and inner peace.

James 1:2-3 Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you fall into various trials. Be assured that the testing of your faith through experience produces endurance leading to spiritual maturity, and inner peace.

Tuesday Talk

I shared a powerful story about an amazingly brave lady, Julie Aftab, who was persecuted for being a Christian and had acid thrown in her face. My WordPress friends and I discussed how the persecution we face, as Christians in the Western World, can be rather trivial in comparison to what Julie went through. We must continue to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are persecuted for their faith.

Wednesday Worship

Last week I was asked by my WordPress friends, Leon and Plutonia, to record a worship song called ‘The more I seek you’. I have been so blessed by this tender worship song. As I sing it I am taken straight to the throne room of grace and right into God’s presence.

Next Wednesday I will be sharing another beautiful worship song, ‘This is the air I breathe’, requested by my WordPress friend, Carlos.

If anyone has a request for a song, (Worship or Christian) please let me know.

Thursday Thought

I am so blessed and privileged to have made some wonderful friends here on WordPress and I received so many encouraging messages, relating to a circumstance I shared.

An update and testimony

Today I received a text from the person I spoke to you about on Thursday. The lady sent me a full apology and I was able to extend forgiveness to her. (It was only by the grace of God that I could do that).

Thank you to all those who held me up in prayer and also to my lovely friend, T.R Noble for starting up a Community Prayer Request page. It is so encouraging to know that people are praying for me and that we can support one another as believers in Christ.

So, that rounds up the week. Have a wonderful, blessed weekend!

      1. He has freed us – Red Letters

        Broken lives, hide inside,
fears of old and not letting go
        Comforted by familiar ways
We keep it all in and hide in our sin

Don’t let them in, Don’t let them know,
Hold it all tightly, Don’t let it show
        Hide every fear away

The world on your shoulders, bearing you down
Don’t let them see the tears of a clown
        Hide every fear away

        We could waste another day
        Strive to survive,
        keeping our pride,
        hide every hurt away

Or give into love, tender, secure.
Lay it all down at His alter once more.
        Give every care away.

His yolk is easy, His burden is light,
He desires to bring the darkness into light.
His love is perfect and His ways are right.
All that’s hidden mus be brought into the light.

His yolk is easy and His burden is light,
He will carry us through every trial in life.
His love is perfect and His ways are right.
For our hope and freedom He laid down His life.

        He has freed us!

        He has freed us!

        Thank you Lord!
        You has freed us!

        Thank you Lord!
        Thank you Lord!
        Thank you Lord!

        You has freed us!
        You has freed us!

        HALLELUJAH, Jesus!

Please, Hayley, check the necessary corrections and resubmit me; I’ll include in the comments of your channel’s video on YT.
        Thank you!

    1. Thank you so much, Deb 😊
It’s so obvious that the enemy is trying every trick in the book at present to try and stop the worship night, even using members of the worship team. The devil makes me mad but I know he is a defeated foe so he can just ‘jog on’!
Thanks for your prayers, Hayley 😊💕

    1. I’ve listened to it about 20 times in one go haha! Absolutely love the lyrics. Says exactly how I feel, “I’m not in a hurry when it comes to your spirit and your presence”. Amen 🙏
Thank you for sharing this song with me 💕
