Worship Warfare

Worship is so much more than nice songs, Worship is powerful!

Strongholds are broken and lives are set free when we worship. In God’s presence we are made whole and experience His love and grace. Walls come down and spiritual eyes are opened as we encounter our maker through worship.

Psalm 22:3 tells us that God inhabits our praises and resides in the praises of His people. The Holy Spirit occupies our innermost being as a place of settled residence.

When we worship in spirit and in truth we are worshipping from a position of power and freedom.

We know Jesus is ‘the truth’ and we know the Holy Spirit resides in us.
Therefore we are co-heirs and co-workers with God, (Romans 8:17) seated in high and heavenly places, breaking strongholds in the spirit over every unbelieving heart and mind.

As we praise & worship Jesus we are going into battle, hand in hand with God to defeat the works of the enemy. Worship is a weapon used to overcome the works of the devil. No wonder Satan hates it when we choose to lift up the name of Jesus through praise and worship.

I am preparing right now to lead worship at a Christian conference, taking place tomorrow and I know I am in a battle. As a worship team we have been under attack in so many different ways, especially our health.

I also know that God has given us the victory to overcome the works of the enemy and still we will praise the name of Jesus, regardless of our circumstance, knowing that an amazing time of breakthrough will happen at this conference.

When the walls of Jericho came down (Joshua 6:1-27) it wasn’t though brute force or human strength, it was through praise & worship.

The circumstances we face can be likened to the walls of Jericho. One by one, the walls or strongholds in your life will come down as you continue to praise & worship Jesus.

This is a declaration that God is bigger than any difficulty you may face & stronger than any circumstance you are currently going through.

If it seems like God is a million miles away from you right now and you’re even questioning His existence, then get worshipping and you’ll find that God is closer than the very air you breathe. Your breakthrough is just a moment of praise away!

  1. One of my pastors said when you pray God sends His angels on your behalf, but when you give praise, God in His majesty rise up from the throne on your behalf.

  2. My husband and I understand what you mean about that attack through health… that’s been our story from early on in our marriage. But thankfully, we are still standing firm in Him…as well as our marriage. Thanks for reading my posts…I look forward to reading more of yours. Worship is so very needed…so thank you for doing what you do. God has spoken through song so often in my journey. God bless you Hayley!

    1. Praying that whatever you’re going through you will be filled with God’s peace & joy. You will not be shaken & will stand completely steadfast in the Lord. God is your vindicator and He will bring you through. Keep praising God and thank Him for the victory that is just on the horizon. Blessings, Hayley πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•

  3. “The circumstances we face can be likened to the walls of Jericho. One by one, the walls or strongholds in your life will come down as you continue to praise & worship Jesus.” But we always seem to try that “brute force” first. We exhaust ourselves kicking and beating at the strongholds until we can do nothing else but rely on the power of God. What time and energy we would save if we’d only remember to begin our battles with praise and worship! Such an awesome post!!
